The Model 3801 Compact Data Acquisition System is a stand-alone data acquisition system that eliminates the need for a laptop in the vehicle with the integration of an imbedded computer. The 3801 is small and lightweight, yet offers features that meet the needs of the most demanding vehicle tests.

 

It is ideal when carrying out short tests on multiple vehicles. Its size also makes it ideal for use in fleet vehicles. The results can then be uploaded and analyzed at the end of the day or test. Data may be uploaded to a computer using a CompactFlash card or the Ethernet LAN. The 6 channel NVH option offers the capability to collect FFT, waterfall and time-based data. The time-based data is stored as a wave file which can be played back using Windows media player. This offers the user an opportunity to hear the actual noise event that occurred.

 

When immediate feedback is required, a laptop can be connected to the Model 3801 and data reviewed in real-time. Additional temperature and analog channels are available when more inputs are required.
